Welcome to the trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats in 2011. I expect to leave on July 29th and return about four weeks later.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome. E-mail me at rogerwilliams623@gmail.com

If you're interested in last year's trip to Alaska, that blog address is www.rogersalaskaadventure.blogspot.com

The trip for 2012 will be to New England and the Canadian Maritime Provinces. I'll be posting that trip at: www.maritimeprovinces2012.blogspot.com

More to follow!!

NOTE: Contrary to what I originally wrote about enlarging the pictures, the web site has changed its software. So to enlarge a picture, doubleclick on the picture and go to "Picture" on the tool bar, go down to "Zoom", and select a magnification for the picture. Once you've finished looking at the enlarged picture, bo back and change the Zoom to 100%.

HOME!!

Made it home today around 1:40 pm.  I left Auburn, IN real early this morning because they were forecasting strong storms, lightning, and possible tornadoes in northern Indiana and Ohio.  Conditions were cloudy with a brisk 20 mph or so wind off my starboard side the whole trip, but I managed to outrun the bad weather and didn't even get rained on.  Got home in time to have lunch with Pat and our favorite place, Mindy's in Lakewood.

Miles today:  358.  Total: 7,223

It was a great trip.  Got to see some places I'd seen before and a lot of places I've never visited.  I enjoyed spending five days with Patrick in Phoenix (man, talk about hot), and Speed Week is definitely worth a repeat visit...maybe for the entire week next time.  I visited 17 states, 6 of them for the first time on the bike:

New York
Pennsylvania
West Virginia
Ohio
Indiana
Illinois
Missouri...first time on the bike
Kansas...first time on the bike
Colorado
Arizona...first time on the bike
Utah
Nevada
Idaho...first time on the bike
Wyoming...first time on the bike
South Dakota...first time on the bike
Minnesota
Wisconsin

Had a great time, but it's good to be back home!
